Chocolate Porn

Today’s dose of food porn, or more specifically, chocolate porn, comes in the form of…Oreo and Reese’s Cup Stuffed Dark Chocolate Brownies. Say WHAAT? Yes, I made these orgasmic delights last weekend and never looked back (at my bathroom scale, at least). What started out as an impulsive (and hormonally-driven) idea turned out to be a genius plan for myself AND other parties involved. I luckily had a birthday gathering to go to the next day and realized that I could validate this crazy idea and prevent myself from eating the entire batch of brownies by bringing most of them to the party. BOOM, I was convinced and off to the grocery store in no time. Since my hormones and stomach were guiding me, instead of a recipe, I had to make some guesses about what I would need to pull off such a gluttonous dessert. Somehow, I prevailed, and the baking commenced.

Now I must warn you…this dessert is NOT for someone who is weak-willed and trying to “stay in shape.” If this describes you, then you’ll probably end up regretting a few of those brownies, Oreos, and spoonfuls of batter like I did. HOWEVER, these brownies were worth it to me, and hopefully they will be to you. The recipe that I threw together worked out perfectly and these brownies are to die for. They’re super gooey, rich, multi-textured, decadent, gluttonous, etc. They’re impossible not to like and will probably gain some hell yeah’s and holy shit’s from others. Trust me, they’re delicious and a badass party favor. Also, if you’re worried about the health factor, just remember that the brownie batter is dark chocolate, so they’re toootally healthy…

Check out some drool-worthy pictures along with a crazy easy recipe below:

Oreo and Reese’s Cup Stuffed Dark Chocolate Brownies

Serves: about 24 (or 1, no judgment)

Ingredients:

2 boxes of Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix

Water (measurement on boxes of mix)

Vegetable Oil (measurement on boxes of mix)

2 Eggs

4 (or more or less) packages of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups – 2 cups/package

1 box of regular Oreo’s (or double stuffed, if you dare)

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°.
  2. Using a large bowl, make one box of brownie batter by combining the brownie mix, water, vegetable oil, and one egg.
  3. Once well combined, pour batter into a greased 9X13 inch brownie pan and smooth out to an even layer.
  4. Unwrap your cookies and candy and place them into the batter in whatever manner/pattern that you prefer. I recommend half Oreo, half Reese’s!
  5. Using the same mixing bowl, make the second box of brownie batter using the appropriate ingredients.
  6. Pour the second helping of batter on top of the Oreos and Reese’s, making sure to spread it evenly enough to cover just about everything. (It probably will be really thick batter, so spread carefully to make sure you don’t move the candy/cookies around too much.
  7. Once the batter is spread, put the dish in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes. Check them out every now and then to assess how well done they are. I baked mine for about this amount of time and let them sit to cool for a while to finish cooking. I like mine gooey, so I try to take them out of the oven a tiny bit undone!
  8. Once cooled, slice the brownies up and take a bite of heaven.
